Happy Wednesday lovelies!
Say hello to the first post in my brand new Wishlist Wednesday series. From now on, every week I’ll be sharing an edit of some of the bits I’m currently crushing on. I’m forever curating endless lists of things I’m lusting over, wanting to try out or just generally needing in my life (usually all of the above) and adding to them pretty much daily, so I thought it’d be fun to share with you what’s topping my wishlist each week. Expect a mix of fashion, beauty and home alongside whatever else is tickling my fancy. Hope you enjoy 🙂
How amazing is this Gucci belt bag?! I’ve been crushing so hard over it ever since it was released in their Pre-Fall 17 collection. Such first world problems but I’ve since discovered three other Gucci bags that can be worn a similar way that I also love, so I’m currently struggling to pick just one of them (for now!) to add to my collection. I’m pretty obsessed with Gucci at the moment, they’ve been absolutely killing it for a while now. For next week’s Wishlist Wednesday I’ll be doing a Gucci special as I love so many of their pieces, so stay tuned for that!
Anyway, back to business… The humble bumbag is so bloody practical (I never go to a festival without one) but until I clocked this beauty I’d never seen one so chic. I love everything about this one: the statement colour (I’ve been loving red for months and months now), the sleekness of the sporty shape, the quilting and of course the new GG logo detailing to the front. Aside from the Gucci ones, I have seen some gorgeous vintage Chanel ones that I’m also keeping an eye out for but they’re generally in a classic black and they don’t tend to come up very often.
I’m one of those girls that hates carrying a handbag on a night out, mainly because it really restricts my shape-cutting abilities. Even if you take it off, it’s such a pain having to keep an eye on it all night. I’d much rather be letting loose and having fun than worrying about my bag going walkies (which I’m sure my long-suffering boyfriend and friends will attest to, as they’re usually lumbered with carrying my essentials). As Gucci’s amazing Pre-Fall 17 campaign video shows, this bag would be absolutely perfect for nights out and I can see myself getting tons of use out of it. I think it’d look thebombdotcom over dresses, jumpsuits and playsuits but it’d also look fab underneath an open jacket when it gets chillier. I’d have to try it out first to see if it works, but it could also look really cool worn as a belt with high-waisted jeans or shorts and a statement tee on more casual days.
The pièce de résistance though, is that this bag is actually a 3 in 1. Obviously you can wear it as a belt bag like it was intended but the bag isn’t attached to the belt, so you can slip it off and then you’ve got a cute little clutch and a red belt too. Getting more bang for your buck is always a winner!
I love a good trainer and these beauties are the next kicks on my hitlist. I’m a big fan of the Reebok archive anyway but I’m really digging this retro silhouette with it’s off-white sole and green detailing. I haven’t seen a soul in these yet so as much as I love my Stan Smiths and my Old Skools, I love that these are something a little bit different but still classic-looking enough to go with everything.
A friend was wearing this a few days ago and it smelt absolutely gorgeous on her. Just from first impressions I’d describe it as an elegant, feminine fragrance with a sophisticated vibe that also has a little sexiness about it. It would make a fab daytime scent as it’s not overpowering at all, just a really pleasant smell. Perfumes smell totally different based on the wearer, so I definitely want to try this one out to see what it smells like on me.
Did you know that nail varnishes technically don’t expire? I recently learnt this from a well-sourced blogpost and it was music to my nail varnish-hoarding ears. I’ve accumulated a rather silly amount and because there’s only so many manis a girl can do, some of them have been a little neglected and have subsequently gotten a tad out of shape in protest. Apparently a few drops of nail polish thinner is all you need to revive them so I definitely need to add this to my beauty stash pronto!
Whilst this mirror is pretty girly, which usually really isn’t my vibe, it’s the perfect solution for tackling the poor lighting at my vanity whilst maintaining the minimalistic vibe of our bedroom. All of the furniture in our bedroom is white with clean lines so this mirror would blend in like a dream. I also love how extra it is, it’d create the kind of space that you’d really look forward to pampering yourself in on the daily.
A few other selling points for me were that it has a dimmer switch so you can control the strength of the light and it’s also got a plug socket on the side which would be perfect for hairdryers/straighteners etc.
(PS. I may already have this on order now!)
This stuff smells absolutely divine, it’s honestly the perfect scent for the home. It’s a rich, warm, luxurious scent that’s simply smells amazing in any room. We have the Pomegranate diffuser in our lounge at the moment but the homespray would be perfect for spritzing on all of our soft furnishings in every room to make our whole home smell of this gorgeousness.
