Thanks to a slew of design houses from Loewe to Alexander McQueen, ruffles are everywhere this season. Being the frill-seeker that I am, naturally I couldn’t resist this baby blue H&M number. I love how OTT this shirt is! With an 80s vibe from the exaggerated shoulders, it’s so extra yet so wearable at the same time.
I styled it up with these amazing jeans from ASOS, how cool are they?! I really can’t get enough of them. They’re high-waisted with a straight leg (my fave jean style) and cut at a length that makes them perfect to wear with flats, boots and heels which is so ideal. I love love love the detailing on them too: an exposed O-ring zip and asymmetric legs make these a subtle statement-maker.
I love everything about these amazing backless lace-up snakeskin print Topshop heels (what a mouthful!). The visible skin through the laces combined with the pointed toe and some high-waisted jeans gives the illusion of legs for days which is always a winner.
Sunglasses are one of my absolute fave accessories, my collection is so ridiculous now that they actually have their own dedicated pull-out display in my wardrobe… I think they completely elevate your look and add the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. I’m so into coloured lenses at the moment, they’re such a strong look which is right up my street. I’ve got shades in tons of different shades now (sorry, couldn’t resist!) and I can’t wait to share them with you over the next few weeks. Yellow lenses might just be my favourite though, I find them super flattering with my hair and skintone but I really think these would look amazing on anyone. Aviators are such a classic but these ones are so much more fun than the standard black/brown/mirrored ones that the world and his dog (including me!) seems to own.
If you’ve not given them a go yet then you so should, they’re such a game-changer! Would you cop a coloured lens?
